“Texas Style” Honey Cinnamon Butter

A sweet, creamy spread that makes everything taste like homemade in 5 minutes.

There are some simple things in the kitchen that feel extra special, and “Texas Style” honey cinnamon butter is one of them. Whip this up in minutes and turn ordinary bread, biscuits, or pancakes into something that feels just like waiting for entrees from Texas Road House or eating a Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.

This is the kind of recipe that reminds me why homemade touches matter. A warm slice of bread with a thick smear of “Texas Style” honey cinnamon butter feels cozy, comforting, and just a little indulgent—without being complicated.

Texas Style Nostalgia

This butter spread tastes like a core memory. It brings up the memory of cracking peanut shells at Texas Roadhouse while waiting to order. Even better, it makes me wish I could slather it all over a biscuit and add a piece of chicken to recreate a Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, my go to college snack after two stepping at Billy Bob’s, the Fort Worth honky-tonk until closing time. Every time I make this, it takes me back to a place of fun and down home comfort.

Simple Ingredients Whipped Up In Minutes

The best part of this recipe is that it uses four staple ingredients easily found in the kitchen pantry and comes together in just a few minutes. Even better, it keeps for a long time when refrigerated and truly takes your biscuits and rolls to a whole new level of sweet deliciousness.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • Takes 5 minutes (or less) to make
  • Uses common pantry ingredients
  • Stores well in the fridge
  • Adds a homemade touch to everyday meals

The Ingredients

Room Temperature Salted Butter: While most recipes call for unsalted butter (which is perfectly fine), I’m a fan of using salted butter (to bring out the flavor). European butter like Kerrygold really shines here!

Confectioner’s (Powdered) Sugar: Adds a hint of sweetness without the grainy texture of granulated sugar.

Honey: Adds an extra dimension of sweetness. You can’t have honey cinnamon butter without honey.

Cinnamon: A little goes a long way. Feel free to add more to taste.

How To Make “Texas Style” Honey Cinnamon Butter

  1. Make sure your butter is at room temperature. If you just pulled it out of the fridge, heat in the microwave for 5-10 second increments until it softens.
  2. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the butter in a bowl until it is fluffy.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to the butter and mix until the mixture becomes light and creamy.
  4. Serve immediately with homemade rolls, biscuits, or pancakes or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
